My stress relief method is doing step aerobics until I’m completely exhausted. I tend to get stressed easily. For example, I feel stressed when I make a mistake at work. Recently, I messed up big time by doing something different from what was instructed, and it caused a lot of stress.
In those moments, I turn to step aerobics. Moving my body makes my mind feel lighter. And since I’m at it, I keep going until I’m sweaty and worn out. It’s like killing two birds with one stone—stress relief and a workout for weight loss.
Along with the sweat, my negative feelings seem to flow away too. Plus, the great thing about step aerobics is that I can do it while watching TV.
So, I often do step aerobics while watching action movies. The action scenes make me feel especially refreshed. It’s like a full reset for both my body and mind. Action movies are easy to follow even if you’re just glancing at them, so they’re perfect for step aerobics.
Since discovering this stress relief method, I don’t get as hung up on things anymore. Whenever something stressful happens, I think, “I’ll just do some step aerobics,” and it feels like a kind of “stress insurance” for me.
Thanks to this, I’ve stopped feeling so down about my tendency to get stressed easily. I’ve realized that the key isn’t avoiding stress altogether but learning to manage it well.
