Andepre Can Affect Sleep Time and Quality as a Side Effect

Since being diagnosed with depression, finding the right medication took a long time. You have to watch for a while to see if a drug actually works.

After switching meds a few times, I’ll share one experience with what seemed like a side effect. It was with Andepre 25mg, a generic version of Reslin.

The first drug I tried was Sulpiride 50mg, a generic of Dogmatil. Originally for stomach issues, it’s known to help with depressive states, so my doctor suggested it.

I took it for a while with no noticeable side effects, but it didn’t improve my symptoms either.

So, I switched to Andepre 25mg, one pill three times a day after meals. It has lower antidepressant effects but is great for deepening sleep and supposed to have few side effects.

At first, there were no issues. But, maybe because it’s good for sleep, or as a side effect, I was constantly drowsy, even during the day.

I also have a sleep disorder, so just being able to sleep would’ve been nice, but I felt sleepy without actually falling asleep.

The drowsiness left my body heavy and drained my energy, making it impossible to do any tasks.

Plus, when I’d lie down for a nap due to the sleepiness, my legs would get restless, and I couldn’t settle down.

Eventually, the drowsiness got so bad I was sleeping long hours day or night, so I stopped the drug.

Now, I’m trying a different medication and monitoring how it goes.

While Andepre 25mg doesn’t seem to have major side effects, it can affect sleep time and quality, so you should be cautious.
